About the wine
A lovely wine is this red wine made of 100% Aglianico grapes blended from several vineyards, made by the rising star Vinosia from the wine region Campania in Italy

This wine received 19/20 points from Swiss based WeinWisser by Rene Gabriel, one of the leading wine authorities in the World, leaving famous, excellent scoring and much more expensive Campanian wines form Feudi di San Gregorio (Serpico 2005 (18/20), Patrimo 2004 (18/20)) and Mastroberardino (Radici (16/20)) way behind.

The Irpinia Aglianico 2007 is made in the appellation Irpinia Aglianico DOC and was made of 1005 Aglianico grapes harvested in the year 2007, which was a classic vintage in this area. The average annual production for the Irpinia Aglianico 2007 is around 200.000 bottles.

The average age of the vines used to make the Irpinia Aglianico is 10 years old. All grapes are organically grown.

The Irpinia Aglianico 2007 is the regular botteling and was aged only in stainless steel.

The Irpinia Aglianico 2007 will show best when served at 16-18 degrees Celcius and should drink well until 2012. The wine pairs very well with roasted meat, mature cheeses, cured pork meats.

The wine has an alcohol level of 13.5% vol.

Tasting note
It's blackish fruit expresses the beste qualities of its variety: great extractive density, great matyrity, great pulpiness of balanced and enveloping gustative equilibrium.

Producer Information
The strenght of a dream and the concrete nature of a winning project: Vinosia!

Vinosia is not just a company, it is style, a way of living wine. In the company there is a passion of Mario and Luciano Ercolino, brothers and founders of the project who have managed to excel in both making wines with the best possible level of pleasentness and in applying prices that are accessible to the market.

Mario and Luciano have always dreamed about having their own company, created a place in which they could express their own ideas, so this the direction they took as soon they left Feudi di San Gregorio. Vinosia was established in 2003 after a long search for the beste areas to produced the wines they had in mind. They want to carry on what they considered the 'Feudi experience'. This experiences has been most important both profesionally and from human points view. This company was a unique and unrepeatable training ground. The freely experimentend everything what was possible to do in terms of enology. It was proper laboratory in continuous progress.

Vinosia's wine project is to produce a wine that is immediately and universally pleasant. This is a simple concept that is extraordinary difficult to achieve. Their second objective is to bring consumers, people, closer to wine, to the feelings it can generate and the territories it represents.

The idea of wine, of Mario and Luciano Ercoline is to dare, to always take an achievement even further.
